Is there a difference between a support Group and group therapy?
Support groups can be peer or clinician led and connects you with people who are or have experienced the same or similar issues. They provide a safe space to discuss shared experiences, contribute to less feelings of loneliness, and acts as a source of social support.
Group therapy is clinician led and provides a treatment based process for a presenting problem that is mutually or similarly experienced by group members.
